August=Family

The first weekend in August is the busiest weekend every year.  The first Saturday of August is always the Vance Reunion.  Mike's family meets in West Virginia at Cacapon State Park.  They rent the same pavillion every year, and family from Virginia and West Virginia come and get together.  It's really fun to see everyone and see how much everyone has changed.  All of the families bring food for potluck and cookout on the grill.  The pavillion is next to this little cabin that we call the "animal house"  Inside there are snakes, turtles, bear skins, stuffed deer, and other animals for people to look at.  Yesterday, we saw a rattle snake, and if you'd get to close to it it would start shaking his tail!  Unfortunately, yesterday it was raining most of the day so the millions of pics i usually take, didn't happen.  So what did we get to do while sitting under the pavillion for shelter?
Axton had his first beer:

Ok, not really. But he loved chewing on the cold aluminum, and got soo angry when Mike pulled it away!  Mike's trying to start him way too early ;-)
Sunday was Jasmine's 6th birthday party!  It's hard to believe that the kids are already that old!  We went to Leesylvania State Park and hung out near the playground.  The kids played at the playground, went down by the water, played a few games, and had fun with water balloons!  Jasmine got lots of awesome gifts like makeup, clothes, games, and a new bike!  I think the best part about birthdays is that our family all gets together.  We all have such busy lives, it's not *too* often that we ALL get to hang out.

I know that's a ton of pics, but if you know me, you know I can't help but to take a ton!  With that said,
Happy Birthday Jasmine! We love you so much!
In between all of this, I still managed to get all of Jaelynn's school supply shopping done, get most of her school clothes bought, drop my phone in the toilet, went to Roy and Steph's (Mike's Uncle and Aunt) house to cookout, and met my mom to drop off Jaelynn for riding tomorrow. Sigh. I am one tired mama after this weekend, but it was well worth it to hang out with our awesome family =)
One last pic before I go of me and my little man. Please excuse my huge bags under the eyes, I had just woke up from the long car ride to West Virginia lol
Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend!
