I totally slacked on this project. I just went back and read all my posts and it makes me really sad I didn't keep up with it as well as I wanted to (or at all)!
So here's my shot at redemption. From now on I am vowing to attempt to blog at least once a week. So Since it's impossible for me to attempt to catch up January and February with a lot of detail here's a quick recap:
Both kids are growing like weeds. Axton has started walking and is into everything! Jaelynn is doing great in school and has moved up to intermediate gymnastics. She is also starting to canter and do REAL jumps at horseback riding. Mike has started taking a class at NoVa on Tuesdays and is doing great with both it and his new job. Me? Well what's NOT new?! When raising a family I don't think there's ever a day without a surprise!
So far this month has been busy too. I turned the big 2-7. Yes, I am now in my late 20's. Why does 27 sound so much older tan 26??? I can't believe that I'm already this close to 30, I feel like I just turned 21 like...a year ago! My birthday was really low key this year. Dinner with the family at Famous Daves and Mike took me to see the Hunger Games when it came out!
Axton is really walking wherever he can now. He LOVES going outside..cause it means there's so much more stuff to shove in his mouth!! Mulch, rocks, dirt, grass, and anything else he can pick up gets shoveled into his mouth constantly-if he didn't have an immunity to germs before he sure as hell will before this spring is over! He has 2 more teeth up top now and is CONSTANTLY drooling/teething. He got his first big boy haircut today and he looks SO grownup! I am really sad that his baby hair is gone =( It was the only thing connecting him still to being a baby. Irrational or not, I wish I could keep his hair growing forever without him looking like a homeless child.
Jaelynn is still excelling so much. She is really starting to read and write so well. She is still a great big sister and little helper. Axton LOVES playing with her and chasing her around the house.
And the best part of course...PICTURES!
